yes, the black is intentional. All my images have the same black bringing them out to a square. Some like it... some don't. I do. That's why it's there.

might have worked if you would have had a higher angle and not overdone the glowy/blur. As it is... just looks too mushy and not enough scenic interest to hold my attention. -

it looks as I intended. I was blurred manually via zoom during exposure. NOT a cheap Photoshop filter. I was capturing more of an abstract elephant image and not the literal that you obviously prefer. I also shot hundreds of elephant images on this game drive with no blur. I prefer this one because it better captures the "soul" of elephant and not the "object" of elephant that you're used to seeing.
