  1. Check out Lost Luggage at www.lost-luggage.com. Unique selections in various sizes and material. Their books are top of the line and well worth the price if you're looking for something "a tad different". Highly recommended. Lost Luggage also has their less expensive brand called Case Envy (www.caseenvy.com). Brewer-Cantelmo created the original portfolio book that has now become a standard. B-C makes custom books to your specifications, as well as offering what they call Ready Made books in standard sizes. There is House of Portfolios that also caters to photographers looking for custom made books in the same vein as B-C. Aside from the choices I've mentioned, a less expensive option is to purchase an off-the-shelf book from Prat or Pina Zangaro, both of which are available at most art stores.
  2. Use new Rollei Scanfilm CN400 Pro. The film is color without the orange mask, which makes it easier to print in a b&w darkroom using standard chemistry and a filter of 4+. This film is sold as a color film for b&w printing and appears to be what you're looking for. Rollei is coming out with a 200 version in October. You can buy the film through Freestyle in the states or Robert White in England.
  3. "I'm comfortable with discomfort, and this deal makes me uncomfortable. I like to go to the mall the day after Thanksgiving, too. That's how I'm wired."...

Thanks for letting us all know how you're wired. But is Thanksgiving 'art'? What about all the other holidays?

  4. Can someone provide feedback on the "new version" NPC 195 camera?

I've used the Polaroid Pro Pack camera and would like to step up to

the latest NPC 195. However, I'd like more information from users, in

regards to performance, quality, and optics.
