1.
No way....

Those two big cats got their physical yesterday and they have high cholesterol. So the docs recommended them pure veg food for next two years :-)

 2.
Thanks folks. Great viewing pleasure.
@Hin, I will post another time some photos my wife took of me holding the Tammy. My biceps and triceps are growing :-) We talk about walk around lens, right? Now this is my work out lens:-))
I am getting used to carrying the lens. This is a pic of my wife. Handhold.........so little bit soft. Well, one day....may be one day I will be able to get a sharp focus handhold.
3.
Happy Pentax day folks.

Never started a POW thread. Recently got a Tamron SP 300mm f2.8. My wife and I went to the park with our 2 dogs. This gave me an opportunity to test my new lens. Here are few I am sharing with you. Enjoy.

Your ....(fill in the blanks).... saw the pics on your computer and then ....oh boy, you were doing some serious explanation the rest of the time ?? :-))
Beautiful shots. Nice and realistic skin tones ........... a big thumbs up. Will you please share some detail ? Look forward to see few more. Please.

 5.
I understand Arthur's point. I also did not imply sarcasm or try to mock anyone for not knowing the quality of a DA prime. I was joking (my crystal ball) because we saw/read several posts across different forums about this FF debate/rumors. I like to shoot landscapes and is very much hoping for a FF so that in future I could use the wide lenses. Till a week ago, I was building my FF prime lens collection. This does not mean that I am unhappy with my K20D. Not at all. Honestly, I do not have money to buy a newly released FF Pentax DLSR, assuming it is marketed at $2K which is still much cheaper than Canikons. But as we know that the price drops down, a year from now I can seriously hope to get a new one or an used piece.

I am little bit sad to acknowledge that Peter may be directing me towards right direction i.e. buying a Sig or Tammy 70-200mm. My Pentaxian pride is still holding me back from doing that. I fully know the great quality of these two lenses and the Tammy 28-75mm as well. However, I feel little extra proud to show my Pentax camera and lens to my friends who have different brand loyalties. I know this sounds unreasonable. But let me tell you also that I have converted few amateur Canikons to Pentax camp because of the camera/lens combo.
Anyway, back to the original topic - price increase is not a good news for me :-(

 6.
Lindy - Oh boy, that is super bad new for me. I was dreaming about a DA 50-135mm. I better go and buy few lottery tickets. I don't think I can generate enough cash for that sort of price.

Somanna - I called you wife and told her what you did, she said you would be grounded :-))

Arthur - FF Pentax dSLR coming soon? I want to borrow your crystal ball :-) Pentax DA primes are wonderful. I have one - the DA 70mm. The pictures are really amazing.

 7.
Hey, if you think that $400 ish is reasonable, then you will find a Viv Ser 1 without much difficulty. I soptted one this morning in the marketplace of another forum. I guess someone here already directed you towards that. I had one, loved it. Traded it for a K10D body. Great lens for macro and little bit of everything else.

 8.
I will buy long F or FA* primes, just like Dave. And hire a porter to carry it on bird watching hikes :-) Pentax forum has a database. Please check the 600mm price.
I have friends who work with digital Hassy. These guys are commercial photogs. The price tag? Triple of what you mentioned. And you are wondering why a Nikon camera is $8000. I am not trying to justify why a camera should be expensive or whether expensive camera equals to better quality. Just wanted to share some facts with you.
BTW - as full disclosure, I am very very happy with my present set of body and lenses :-)

 9.
Who said that there is no cure for LBA? I know how to cure LBA. I learnt it from a wiseman who lives in the Himalayas.

If you want to start the tretment, then please start sending me money. Its 24 easy monthly payments and $2000 each payment. Right now medical insurance does not cover it. So its little bit costly. After 24 months, you will be completely cured.

You got it, right?

00SOMh-108903584.jpg.2af8fd1933659d87703bf8dbaf17ff11.jpg

 10.
Hi Pentaxians,
I was reading the previous post on flashgun choices and wondering about this:

Is the trigger voltage for old flashguns like AF400FTZ, AF500FTZ safe for K20D? I am talking about shoemounting on the camera. I do not care about P-TTL.

Hope to get some useful information.

 11.
It was snowing here in North East Ohio. So I was indoor. Our cat volunteered to be the indoor model :-)
Here are two pics. Taken with K20D and 28-70mm f2.8 Tokina zoom. Enjoy.
