The bulbs come with different lenses on the front (like a car headlight). these change the pattern of the light. I've used them in the music industry but never for photography. They're very hot and I can't stand the smell of fried model!

Do you really need to ask? ?

Darius, we all know that everybody has terrible taste but we understand what is truly great!
I visit a lot of people in their home. Their choice of artwork is generally pretty hackneyed and not far from flamingos, sunsets and elvis on velvet. That taste is duplicated on photonet. I don't have a problem with that as it's all subjective and I can always find something that I do like. Each to his/her own.

John, thanks for your concern. Occasionally people don't turn up and I have a couple of minutes between, not really long enough to get started on anything much. PN forums is fine for that. Most of the time I do proper work though!

Yang, I am a doctor and was doing surgery when I replied to your heartfelt plea this morning. Sure go and see your own doctor, but don't worry, I often get asked this and I've never seen any damage in 25 years.

Steve, yes if you stare at it for hours eg an eclipse, so potentially very harmful. We all glance briefly at the sun from time to time and still manage 20/20 vision. As I said looking briefly is uncomfortable not damaging.
-
Flash can't hurt eyes, yours or hers. The light levels are no worse than you looking briefly at the sun, which causes a few seconds of burn out then you're fine. It was uncomfortable but not damaging.

Pico, it's hard to write about a photo as though there is some absolute standard that applies.
I often find it difficult because people don't say "I set out to acheive this in this photo, did I succeed". So it's hard to know what sort of critique people want/will accept.
So I'm not sure that formal criticisms really transcend like or dislikes. Ultimately it either speaks to you or not. The rest is technique, which it is very easy to get caught up in, when it should really be the minimum necessary to support the vision.

Good advice above. I've just printed six A4's with two lights flashings and it's still going. Wait til it packs up, then replace. But replace any that warn you they are low. It really flushes a lot of ink when changing a cartridge.

I did it in an SQA on about my 200th roll. Thought it made a funny sound when I was winding on! View it as a learning opportunity.

Whether they succeed depends on what you wanted to achieve and whether she likes them. To my taste they are very good indeed. Wide range of expressions, scenes and poses. Something for every mood. Agree with you about some of them being slightly harsh which a reflector would help. Keep it up.

The aim is to wet the film with developer evenly. constant 30s agitation makes sense. You might get away without it, but why bother risking it?

In the UK you can take photos in public places (unless they are privately owned and show a sign saying no photography, or asked to stop by a security guard) of anyone, unless they are engaged in an obscene act. You can't take photos of people where they have an expectation of privacy ie woman in shower through bathroom window from street.
But as others say, what you can legally take and what people will moan at you about/get aggressive about are different things.

The aperture sets the speed regardless of the size of film/sensor. So an f2.8 is the same regardless of which camera it's mounted on.

Ilford are reintroducing their sfx film as well, so the future for film ir is bright!

Sensia is on the right track. The results aren't going to look anything like K64 though. I'd suggest one of the faster Sensia's and maybe push it a stop and expose through a mild diffusing filter. Hope this would look retro, but I'd try a roll before committing to something that matters.

Happens with lots of 120 films although some worse than others. As pico says, I've not found it to happen since I slowed down when removing.

Ditto Emre, never sharpen except through an edge mask used on luminosity. Hugely controllable and superior.

www.7dayshop.com vat free from channel isles.

Second the RAM suggestion. bigger is better.
As to the scratch disc. Why not simply buy a small second hand internal hard disc on ebay and fit it. Few dollars, takes 20 minutes to fit and you have a dedicated hard scratch disk. I did it and it works well.

Salgado isn't a "her".

I'd go for the 24mm, better gap for use from the 35mm. The example of the 28mm 2.8 md that I've got, is much less sharp than my 24mm md. So I know which I'd choose, but I've only tested one example of each of these lenses so others may differ.
-
Momo,
I've got both lenses and have compared them directly. The MD is considerably better wide open and up to f8 than the AF version. But as previously said they fit a different range of cameras.

I can't open half of my Tiff's.
