    Hi Dieter,

I really like the composition, especially how the railing seems to fall from the top and then end up in a downwards swirl. Maybe it could be a tiny bit darker and have a little more contrast, but that's just personal preference :)

    Regards,

  1. For some reason i shot this as a vertical picture. The wide frame is

supposed to create some balance and to pull the focus into a more

    horizontal direction. Hope it works.

    Comments and suggestions welcome. :)

    Catwalk Shadow

Very nice play of lines in this shot and the intensity of the shadow is simply amazing. This proves that there are motives even where there appear to be none. Very well done indeed.

PS: Just to add some random info to my comment, there is a series of very cool TV adverts for Channel 4 (UK), where they play around with lines found in all sorts of situations and environments, to morph in and out of the number 4 (obviously with the help of a little SFX). You may quite like their work and one of their adverts actually has a similar feel to this shot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYxuQUTf7Uo

    Just for Love

    Very nice shot.

My only point of critique would be the red frame. This really pulls too much attention away from the powerful red of the flower. I would remove the red frame altogether as you want to keep it as simple as possible to let the motive have its wonderful effect on you :)

for all your comments, I almost gave up on anyone taking the time to give constructive feedback around here :)

@ Mihai & James: I think your comments both point to the same thing really, but with different suggestions on how to fix something that doesn't work here. The lack of detail in the dark bits does mean that you can't really tell what the building with the shadows on the wall is standing on, so there is no real connection between the foreground and the background. If I ever make it back to Montreal, I'll give it another try with a different arperture ;)

Something about this bugs me but I simply can't seem to identify what

it is (other than the picture being plain boring maybe ;). Suggestions

    welcome.

  2. can't remember seeing a body or any suspicious cement blocks there ... guess the previous owner just had a few too many pints of the "best beer in town" and couldn't remember where he parked it ;)
  3. Very cool shot. The body painting on its own is great, the reflection on the water adds to the illusion of a monatge rather than a body painting.

Maybe as a photographic image, you could zoom in/crop a little and add some stars to the black area in the upper section of the image to make the illusion even more complete.

  4. can you want? It really is two great photographs in one. At first, I failed to notice the reflection ... simply because I was fascinated by how sensual the upper part of the image already is on its own. Then when you notice the reflection, it gets even better. 7/7 is not really enough for this.

Spot on! Only one suggestion: Convert it to black and white and add a little contrast. The green on blue really doesn't work for me and in removing the colours you can focus even better on the action.

    look round

A very happy and colourful shot. The perspective is great because it makes you feel little, but in a positive way that makes you want to discover more of what's around and get out of your dark, muddy tunnels (talking from the perspective of a mole here ;) ... I shall make this my monday morning picture :)

    Regards,

  5. curves and an excellent photograph indeed :)

There is just a little too much gray for my taste - it might work better with a black frame and a bit more brightness in the whites.

PS: The panties and the "derriere" have a distinct Aubade-feeling to them (lecons de seduction/art d'aimer) ... one of the nicest advert series ever made. :)

    Infinity

to all for your feedback. I'm only really starting to get active here so this is very encouraging :)

@ Dimitris. You have a point about the horizon with regards to the title if you want to see infinity in the entire photograph. On the other hand, doesn't infinity need something finite in order to be recognized?
