    Thanks everybody for your comments. To the issue about the harshness of the light on the street outside raised by Jack but also mentioned by Bachir

    I am afraid I have to say, that is intentional, but obviously, I have to admit in the light of these comments from these competent photographers, not working according to the intensions. The inside of the gateway and the street outside is actually on two different layers stemming from two different raw conversions.

    The picture is taken on a warm late summers day in northern Italy, and the idea was to try to make the contrast between the relative cool-ness inside in gateway and the heat on street outside felt in the picture. Well;- air temperature is obviously different to photograph….
