Performance wise I don't see them as having so much difference. If a good old camera would do than the F5 is just enough to do the work.
Good luck

Their shipping is slow. The rating as mentioned by others is a bit marked up. I would rather buy from KEH and BH.

"Do you still believe them? I don't. "
I don't believe your words too

F6 as back-up to F5?

Dave, I'm glad you're back.

Nice shots Eric

"Shot this with a 20mm/3.5 AIS"
Not a sharp shot I think

I got almost all the lenses mentioned...Frankly I am thinking of getting rid the AF 35-70mm..the only thing that is stopping me from doing so is because I got that one for a real cheap price (100.00 US$)...so may be I "ll just keep it...Quality wise, the 50mm will literally cover what the AF 35-70mm can do...you have to move back and forth a little bit but believe me, it is hard to beat the AF 50mm prime lens. If your hand is really itchy to spend the 85 mm is not a bad idea...my two cents

I agree with Albert since I feel the same think after collecting many lenses, 2 or 3 lenses are more than enough for most situation.

"This is incorrect. KEH lists a bargain grade model at $172. Closed itmes at eBay shows they've sold for between $145 and $165."
Come on, just search on Ebay " Nikon Tamron 28-200mm" and this lens is for sale in mint condition for BIN 89.00 and nobody wants to buy it (yet).

Probably it will sell the most $60-70 dollars

Ditto the last responder, that's why attempts to ditch the FE (or FE2) will never be succeeded. They work wonderfully in Auto exposure for night photography. Please read Ken Rockwell's review on Nikon FE. For those who hate him you don't have to read...
Cheers

Does the lens "click" onto the body? if not, take a small screwdriver, try to tighten or loosen the mounting ring a bit and see what this will do..may be the aperture ring is stuck
Good luck

Buy the FM3a instead

I got the Nikon 995 and Nikon 5700, and love them. if you are now with the 995, sell it for around $200-250.00 and get the Nikon 5700 within the same price range on the big auction site.

just maintain about 300 dpi and the prints will be fine...I also had tried printing around 250 dpi and there were acceptable too. meaning that if you choose to print 10cm x 15cm (or 4 X 6 in)to be safe select the 2048 x 1536 rsolution.

"You'll make better pictures by spending the extra money on a photo trip instead of the Nikon lens. " --Ken Rockwell
I like this

Photodo.com gave the sigma 50mm EX 2.8 micro a 4.2 rating, the same rating with the Nikon AF 60mm 2.8 D micro. So I guess the Sigma is not bad at least for the price.

If you were refferring to a ZOOM lens, then your concern is valid since some people prefer the rotation than the push-pull type.

Thanks, so may be the Jpeg file that I used was processed externally.

hi, I was trying to check a D2h's shutter counts using Opanda
software 2.25 but nothing showed thing like total shutter
release...Does it require special file to check..the file was a jpeg.
Hope to hear, thanks

I think there was a similar posting last week. Play around with the mode selector on the MD4. make sure that it hits the correct stop for say the single shot. ANything in between the selections between will likely make it irresponsive.
Good luck
