First time back on PN in a few years. The comments on 500 px are just

shallow and flakey. I liked the critiques I received here better.

i enjoy this angle.  A step away from the typical portrait.  The image with the eyes closed is less intense than the photo with her eyes open.  this image has a softer feel.

Hehe.

Thanks for the helpful comments.  Here's the background, not meant to be an excuse.  She's sitting on my kids lil' tikes chair. Her mom and dad are poking fun at her from the couch, and I  am using my 85mm which isn't the right size for my undersized living room. :)

All things considered, I will make improvements for next time. I appreciate the comments, They are all details I can look out for next time.  My focus of the last few months has been lighting.  Now that I'm happy with recent results, I'm going to start with poses.  The comments on the hands, among other things, was very helpful.
