<p>A Polarizer might do the trick. It will stop the light, but will sure cut the reflections. Try that out..<br>
Or...<br>
Merge two photographs by changing the light positions..</p>

You really relish these unknown macro lenses. <p> Hearing "Dine" for the first time :)
<p> Just curious, what are those below the tail of damsels? eggs!?
<p>Thanks for sharing, <p>

Hi there Varma,
<p>
I would suggest you to start investing in prime lens, than cheap zoom lenses. A 24mm lens can be had for 8,000 INR for second-hand and so or other primes, like 28, 35 and 85.
<p>
They don't cost much like a quality zoom, but give you the best quality.
<p>
If you are serious about photography, be a little be serious about the equipment you buy too.. Don't try to have every focal length, but use one for a while to know what you want.
<p>
I'm in Delhi, and would love to meet, if you live somewhere around.

This might sound dumb, <p> Check to put your TV in Video mode and check AV1 or AV2 or any other available channels.
<p>
Hope your camera and TV are just fine, and this is just a user error :)

Nice shot Jay,
<p> I really would love to know the method of scanning!. I'm desperate to scan a few prints, which i have made, but every attempt is futile.
<p>
Thanks in advance,

You need to start using Slides!
<p>
The color saturation in slides is entirely different from, what you can get in negative films. I personally feel there is no poing of shooting color negative rolls in film cameras now a days. Either you shoot Slides or shoot black and white!.

<i>Dave Hartman<p>
For cameras other than iTTL/CLS, DSLR(s) such as my F5 or FE2(s) the SB-600 lacks an SU-4 slave mode so the SB-600 would not be useful as a slave with out an actual SU-4 slave. Moreover the SB-600 lacks an electronic metering sensor on the face so it lacks both Auto Aperture Mode and even the very basic Auto Mode. The SB-600 would be quite useless on my FM2n(s).</i>
<p>
I'm planning to buy a flash for my F80, and was looking at Sb-600 as I can't afford SB-800.. I'm totally confused after your explanation above.. can you shed some light Dave..

16$ a Roll?
in Nikon
Nissila,<p> I don't have a slide projector. I personally would like to hold a print in my hand than showing them with a slide projector or even digital images.

16$ a Roll?
in Nikon
I too exactly feel the same Vivek.
<p>I have to stop using color films untill i buy myself a good scanner.. Its a pain to invest so much money in a slide roll, and still can't use it to its potential.
<p>Atleast with B&W i can use our enlarger and get the print and crop as I would like it. :)

Vivek,
<P> I'm in IIT Delhi, I personally feel IIT Delhi is very very behind IIT-B Interms of photography. That too being a research scholar doesn't help :)

16$ a Roll?
in Nikon
Thanks all for the replies.
<p>
I definitely need to spend some time analysing my shooting priorities here. I have been shooting negatives, black and white rolls and have developed and printed a few (Institute dark room) and I also have a friend who is quite generous with his D70 Camera.
<p>
The hassle in shooting film is there, and also the satisfaction when i saw my slides rolls developed few days back.
<p> I have decided to upgrade my F80 to F100, and wait for a good deal on a good scanner.
Thanks for all the help.

16$ a Roll?
in Nikon
Hi all
I presently have a F80 with 24, 50, 70-300 and 400/5.6 lenses. I am
new to photography ( 18 months) and shoot most of the stuff i like.
Recently I shot a slide roll and got it developed and scanned which
cost me 16 $ here in India. I have saved up some money to upgrade my
body to F100 thinking of using some wonderful MF lenses which the F100
meters :)
Now, after this payment, i'm in a dilema whether to stick with Film or
buy a digital camera, which will save lot of money on the long run.
Thanks for any help.

I have read that the Nikon F5 can be modified by nikon professional to provide matrix metering to old lenses.

I personally recommend the tamron 90. But you should try both the lenses and keep what you prefer.

A dedicated macro will always be better than other methods of getting close focussing.
<p>
Nikon has just released a Nikon Micro lens with AFS and VR, which is supposed to be released by next month ( i think). If you could wait for sometime, you could get a clean 105 nikon macro cheaply everywhere!</p>

Even i had similar problem, with my D70 and its in-built flash system. The first thing you might want to check is where is the problem. Is it with the body, is it when used with flash? or is it when using your SB-800.
<p></p> Take a few pictures, without flash, with inbuilt flash and with external flash, mounted on the body, and few in wireless mode.

I definitely think the announcements from Nikon is not yet over. I certainly think 70-300 VR is sure to be announced some time around. Even I really don't understand the need of a 105 AFS VR lens. Nikon definitely need to put up some F4 series lenses complimenting 2.8 versions!. I love to have a 28-105 AFS VR, 70-200 F4 AFS VR!.

Why don't you go there once before the shot, and guess what focal length you might be shooting. I really think night club, will be jampacked for sure.
<p></p>
I have seen few photographers in dpreview.com using fisheye for their work. You can check out this <a href="http://www.pbase.com/digitalfrog/">gallery</a>,
