By the way, I'm starting to blog my experiences with it. http://cs3beta.blogspot.com/ if you want to join me. :)

$22 is a lot! Find a house at risk of flooding and 'borrow' the bags on their porch...

I use Adobe InDesign for book making. It may look confusing but after only a 10 minute intro you will be up and making albums with the greatest level of control out of all the other options.
-
Photoshop CS2, academic or otherwise, has all you need to edit photos, work in RAW and make images for the web.
Indesign is an awesome tool for bookmaking and page layouts while illustrator is a drawing tool for erm. Illustrating.

Hiya
I have seen this question asked hundreds of times and not needed to read them,
but now it could apply to me I cant find any!
I am looking for a service allowing me to upload my images and then have
customers order prints through them, have them pay me and have them print and
post the orders direct to the customer.
These services must exist, it sounds so simple! Yet everything I have found is
not quiite there - like all those mentioned in the post just a few threads down
from this, more photo, pictage, etc.
To have a low subscription and be here in the UK would also help!
Many thanks.

You asked for the Minimum requirements and your being told to get a D2X?
I say keep your D70 and buy a 17-55 lens and an SB-600 flash. A wedding or two later buy a used D70 for backup and a 50 f/1.8 for that, after that a SB-800 to use the SB-600 wirelessly...
No need to pay for new cameras up front!
-
Your D50 - while occasionaly frustrating - offers little less quality than a D2x or D200 when your using the same lenses at normal print sizes. I've suffered NAS on a realy tight budget and have just ended up with what I started with after much buying and selling of used gear - from now on I've realised, there is no point upgrading at all until I find a specific need.<br><br>
Money is better spent on:<br>
<li>
Photography books (by artists, not how-to guides!)</li>
<li>
Tripod and ball-head</li><li>
SB-600 and later a SB-800 (in that order)</li>
<li>
Decent polarizer and ND-Grad filter</li><li>
Subscription to photography magazine (UK's Practical Photography, Portfolio...)</li><br>
<br>
That said, those things arnt nearly as fun to play with - which is (admit it) the real reason you want to buy another lens / body!

Try and think when you last saw a non-Apple computer in a film... 'Product Placement' is actualy Illegal for British Telly - good job too! Worst one is all the Subway clothing in Happy Gilmore.

Hiya
I am in Sydney for 4 months starting next Sunday for my summer break from a Design: Photography
degree at University here in England and am looking for as much photography - related work as I can find
during my time there, both to keep improving my skills and gain experience and idealy to help pay my
ways (hey, the overdraft only stretches so far).
I will be in the Northern Beaches area and have my relevant Visas and all that sorted. Looking for anything
from assisting to shooting to Photo Shopping to tradditional Colour / B&W printing...
Thanks for any response!

Surely a D50s D200, D2? makes more sense?
-
lol sorry... im sure there are flash guns for the S9000 do exist, but good luck finding it. This
would just give you easier metering.
-
Under ebay | flash guns... I just got a dirt cheap flash gun for 4 quid and another metz
potatoe masher for another 6 pounds. Any 'auto' flash gun will work pefectly. Items like the
Nikon SB-26 are often recommended. Im sure you're right.

I agree, it could end up as either a striking 21st century design or a low-budget 12th century
design. Most likely the later :( . I wonder if they planned wedding photographers into the
design? Where will photographers want to stand when this is done... Lets leave this area clear
for nice photos, etc?
-
I cannot imagen too many people paying $300 for a product viewable only to those
unfortunete enough to still use internet explorer and on a PC at that...
-
Wow! That was one huge jiffy bag, thanks!
-
(</em></i> Hows that?) Great light and litteraly any camera - you can always claim it was
part of the effect.
-
99.99 British Pence per litre where I bought my lunch yesterday. Good job the car wasn't with
me.
-
Sounds like time for a new camera, you'll be suprised how cheap you can find 401 era
replacements on ebay!
-
How about the kit lens (or 18-70 for a tiny bit more moneys and a bit better quality) and a
used 70-210 telephoto. Its discontinued but is meant to have realy fast autofocus and be
very sharp. One on ebay for 90 pounds at the moment.
-
Total cost of project? Looks interesting if a bit awkward to lug around?!
-
Anyone want to follow Patrick's lead from the UK?? :)
-
WHE only has the V700 not V750 or -M versions. Anyone know the difference?
-
Yer I did think it might have been an early fault as I ordered when they were first announced
(about the time I bought my mac) that explains the last replacement - which was something
of a revenge on Apple for being so crappy with my iMac repair ;) - Have tried the wet paper
towel trick and seems to do the job for now.
It Is a optical mouse in response to the other poster, just uses a rather nifty ball for the scroll
wheel. That er, doesn't always work.

Those are three awesome images, well done you three!
I voted for something completely different, very interesting to see what appeals to people.
