Thanks very much for commenting Charles. I had looked at those spots and concluded they were glints of the sun on leaves which were highlighted when I upped the contrast and lowered the brightness.

Nevertheless, I agree with you that they just look wrong, so I have cloned them out in another version.

For your kind comments. Getting out in the fresh air with eager dogs is the best sort of exercise there is I reckon. If you can get them to stop!

Thanks for commenting David. I think your comments are a very valid alternative and another person elsewhere had the same opinion. I took several images, a couple were as you would prefer. In the end I chose this one because I did not want the dog to dominate the seascape, and I don't mind his pose pointing the same way as the approaching wave.
