I like the bold diagonals and tilted horizon.....feeling of a big world out there. Perhaps I would have vertical cropped just to left of his ear to remove green distraction.

everything is right about this photo of yours. The low angle, rope following the sweep of the stem, cloud formation reinforcing the powerful flow of the clinker planks. I also like the hard-edged contrast.....all points to the gathering storm. Hope you didn't get caught out Kevin!

Maybe it needs a bug to focus on. But I don't like manipulation, so
it will have to survive on the abstract.

Thanks for kind comments. Yes, I looked at cropping, but decided the sea is as important as the bird, and reinforces the line of the bird through to her gaze down to the sea,
