  1. Hi, just to add my 2 bits worth, I noticed that Ken "Spiritandtruth' has replied to this thread. I have dealt with him on eBay and know he is very honest AND very reasonable with his BIN auctions. This is not intended to be a "plug" for Ken, but I know he is someone that can be trusted on eBay, which can be a scary place to be when dealing with expensive camera equipment. I am "clivey100".
  2. Hi Guy's. A novice question here. I have just started dev. my b&w

film again after about a 20 year absense from it. I am using a

Paterson tank and plastic reels and 120 film. If it matters I am

currently using Fuji Acros, Ilford 50 and Maco 25. Anyway, while I

have been practicing loading the reel with a test roll, I noticed I

was touching the film's surface quite a bit. Will the natural acid /

sweat on my fingers have an effect on the developed film? Thanks

  3. let me say something before I ask another question. I had used Tech Pan a few times before (for landscape) with an orange filter. The shots came out with a cloud filled sky (against blue sky) that was washed out (the film was exposed at 25 asa and was not processed to increase contrast) . The person that processed the film said that since Tech Pan already has a great sensetivity to the red spectrum, the filter counter acted against the effect of the filter. Is he right/wrong and do I make sense??
  4. Hi everyone, I have looked in the forums already for an answer to

this question, but have not found a question that zeros in on this

topic. I have recently purchased a couple of rolls of 120 Maco UP 25

plus (panchromatic), but before I use it, I would like some feedback

about how this film reacts to the use of filters; namely, 25 red, 29

red, orange, and no filter at all etc. I am after the Ansel Adams

style of dark sky/brilliant white clouds effect, also high contrast.

Can anyone comment on this?? Thanks.
