  1. I am unfamiliar with bidpay. We accept PayPal and we accept personal checks. Unfortunately, it often takes well over a month to process checks, and thus we highly recommend our users use PayPal.

SP, it is unusual for a check to take four months to go through processing. However, I recommend waiting a few more weeks, and if you still haven't received subscription status, contact me.

  2. You sent your question to the "contact us" box on Friday and I had not yet had a chance to respond.

  4. If you sent in the money by check, it will probably take at least a month for your subscrition status to go through. And yes, you will know that the subscription went through when you see the little icon next to your name.
  5. Brad, I recently responded to your email. I hope it answers your question.

Yes, checks take quite a while to process, which is why we strongly recommend our members use PayPal. We find it the more convenient method of payment, as do most of our members. However, for members who prefer not to use this service, we do accept checks.

  6. Well, first of all, I'm interested in how you know which user gave which rating. But that's besides the point.

This user has rated nearly 3000 photos on the site, with an average given rating of 3.97/3.97. This is almost exactly the ideal average of 4/4. And he didn't even rate your photos very low. Why do you believe that the ratings were given maliciously? It is typical for there to be occasional low scores on a given photo, even when the average is high. After all, every person's opinion differs, and the photo's average received rating is just that - it's average.

  7. There are a couple of reasons why this may not work.

1)Forcing a person to write a comment if they rate a photo low may discourage that person from rating low at all, and therefore influence their rating. We would like for our members to try to achieve an average rating of 4/4 when rating other members' photos, but if they are required to leave a comment every time they leave a low rating, they may feel discouraged from doing this.

2)This would go against the new anonymous rating system we have implemented. After all, if someone is required to write a comment after they rate a photo low, the photographer would know who the low rater was.

  8. We have been backlogged for quite some time now, a result of the large amount of mail we receive and the lack of staff we have to sort through it. I apologize for the inconvenience. We are now catching up on the mail, and more of you will be seeing your subscriptions accepted.
