It is possible that an administrator deleted these images. We only allow actual photographs to be posted on the site, not images of artwork.
If these images were photographs, they may have been deleted because of a copyright violation, or possibly because they were considered inappropriate for photo.net.
-
Subscribers should not be seeing these pop-up ads. For those subscribers who are seeing these ads, try logging out of photo.net and then logging back in.
-
We no longer accept checks. However, most people with a checking account also have a debit card, and you can use a debit card as a credit card and subscribe here.

Go to the critique request forum. You can rate anonymously there.

Mario, adding an initial to your name to prevent confusion is an acceptable reason to change your name. I have edited your name for you.
-
No, I don't. But the advertiser paid to have the ad very visible, and if it were smaller than the "Photo of the Week" it would be much less visible.
-
This ad is only temporary (it will be removed in early December). Photo.net depends on the revenue that advertising brings in. Actually, if we had more subscribers, we wouldn't have to rely on advertising so much, if at all. But at the moment we have no choice.

Brian is looking into it as we speak. I'm not sure what happened, but it should be resolved soon.
-
There are now three icons instead of two. The subscriber icon remains the same. The hero icon is now reserved for photo.net members heavily involved with the site (ie, administrators, moderators). The new prolific icon is reserved for photo.net members who post frequently.
-
Non-subscribers have a critique request limit of one per day, and deleted critique requests count towards this limit. Therefore, wait 24 hours and you should be able to submit the new critique request.

A variety of factors are weighed when selecting the top rated photos. Depending on which filter you sort the photos by, these factors may include the number of ratings the photo has received, when the photo was uploaded to photo.net, and the average rating of the photo. But there are many other top rated photos pages in addition to the ones I've mentioned, and each category has its own factors it takes into account.

Great, I'm glad that it worked.
-
Try typing directly into the text boxes (do not cut-and-paste text). If this doesn't work, try uploading via a different browser.
-
Keep in mind, too, that each photo you delete from a critique request still counts as a critique request.
-
We are no longer accepting checks, but we will process the checks we currently have soon. Unfortunately, we receive a lot of mail and it can be difficult to process the checks in a timely manner. I am sorry for the delay, and I appreciate your patience.
-
This is the number of rate recent ratings the photos have received.

We are having a problem with the views count. Brian will address this when he gets a chance.
-
Please provide a link to an example of this.
-
Okay, I see what you mean. Thanks for the link.
The photo's ID is 3793802, which is shown in the system as deleted. It seems that this photo was posted for critique and then deleted, and the front page has not yet reflected this change.
-
I browsed the critique forum and wasn't able to find an example. Thai is probably right, the photos are probably being deleted by the photographer or site admin.
-
The provided link does not link to a photo, but rather to the critique request forum.
-
This isn't a new policy, it is a bug that we are aware of. Once Brian gets a chance he'll look into it.

It is very common to periodically receive low scores, even when your typical score is high. It is possible that the people who rated your photo low have a problem with religion, but it is equally possible that these people just didn't like your photo.

The subscription drive ended on the 1st of October, and thus you do not qualify for the additional 18 months.
