This is not your highest rated cardinal, but it is the one I like the best. They are all good.

I think color better shows the contrast between the run-down house and well-kept lawn in the background.

I'd keep the haze. It's part of the mood.

I also vote for the original. It appears to me that the left side under the arch needs brightening but the right side doesn't. It would take some really advanced PS work to accomplish that. It's a lovely picture as is.
