Hi From,
when I started taking "serious" photos, I had the same thoughts as you.
I ended with a FM2n - Which learned me all about f-stops, metering, apenture, shuttertime - I love this sturdy camera.
Today I also have a F70, which I use with AF-lenses and flash. I have the FM2n as back up, or loaded with BW-film.

What is behind the lens doe´s not matter, exept the photographer...
I have the F70 and think it is a fine camera. Takes good pictures, good matrix meter. It is complicatet to make adjustments on in the field, so I have preset 3 settings which covers abotu 90% of my needs.
Buy a 80-200/2,8 AF second hand - That lens is a gem - THAT DOES MATTER.<div></div>

HI Shawn - Did you go for the lens???
-
I cannot place the 77mm cap I have inside the shade.
What are owners of 80-200/2,8 doing with lens cap when the shade in
on?

What I mean is this white plastic cup-like-thing to put on top of the flash, which is about 5 cm high.

I started with a fm2n, 50/1,4 - Later a 105/2,5, a 200/4 and a 24/2,8 came in.
With a F70, "stolen" from my father I bought an older 80-200/2,8AFED, which works quickly both with and without autofocus.
Today I use only the 24/2,8 and the 80-200/2,8 - Picturequality is perfect.
SO - Bottom line - Get an old pro-zoom secondhand - You will not regret.<div></div>

Take care - See your velvia-pictures on a big wall, and you will never go back ti 135-slides.
It could be expensive to try - I know, because I have to deliver a Rollie 66 back soon....

I am the happy owner of the 28ti - Allmost the same as 35ti - But wider lens.
The shuttelag is a little painful - but the qualiti of the pictures overrules this may times. The lens is perfect, and your ability to set apentures is what I mis from all other minis (including the MJU - which is good too). Hard to miss.
You will get a lot of attention because of the "weaterstation" on top.
Now a days I rarely carry my FM2 or F70 - But only my 28ti and a Mamiya 6MF.

If you read german - Take a look at the latest edition of PhotoMagazin - H1 is the winner of the whole bunch of AF645.

Hi All, first The TI 28 is a marveleus little camera, with built in flash - Made in titanium, which does not make it lighter (rather solid) - The 28mm /2,8 lens is a gem.
But my camera makes a noise when the lens is getting out, like the dentet-wheels does not grap properly.
Still the pictures are sharp.

Hi Nikoners,
my beloved Ti 28 has started to make buzz sound when turned on (not
in the other mening of the word!!!!)
The picture quality is still among the best I have seen.
What is the sound - Should I worry?
