My first attempt at putting together a composition ...

This was a picture taken against the sunlight, and looked pretty

washed off; I tried adding ND filtering and High-pass filtering to

improve color/contrast. I would be very grateful if anybody had any

ideas on how to further improve image quality... Thanks!!

Nice work! I would crop it so that the bird is more to the left of the frame, especially since it is looking right. I'm not sure if you can blur the background a bit more, it seems somewhat distracting. Otherwise, very nice capture! Congrats!
