    Mosta Church

Beautiful clarity and excellent use of wide angle lens for church indide photography. The photograph appears to be a crop, if taken in portrait format some of the front side chairs should have been included to have a better feeling of depth. Regards,

  1. Nice photograph, focal length & aperture have created a very shallow DOF and Shutter speed, ISO setting & focus have created a sharp and rightly exposed object. Only color & saturation appears to be over adjusted in PS.

This photograph is nicely shot in wide angle with low aperture resulting in very high DOF, which is excellent for this photography of monument. Congratulations! I am having two points to make. First, the photograph probably was taken in mid-day with sun at the top resulting in apparent darkness in the front portion. It was better to shot this photograph in oblique light (morning / evening) with sun in the front. Secondly, symmetry is not maintained as is visible from the steps at right and at the left. This was probably because of improper position of the photographer.

Sharply focussed objects with nicely diffused surrounding & background has created a dramatic effect of Paradise. Well done post work. But, to me the color is very strong (dark also).

Outstanding clarity! Light, color, composition & sharpness all are fantastic but only drawback is that the back ground is not properly diffused. This is the drawback of using 70-300 mm zoom lens for this type of telephoto action. At 300 mm the aperture is f/5.6, which is quite closed hence shallow DOF is not possible. With a prime telephoto lens (not zoom) and with wide open aperture (may be f/1.4) very shallow DOF was possible and the picture would have been completely different. Regards,

In my opinion, the vast empty space at the top is not adding any dimension to this photograph. For more attraction 2/3rd - 1/3rd rule for strong horrizontal line should have been followed. A more close-up view would have been the best or at least cropping.

This coloured one is really outstanding and is free from the distraction of the original photograph as I have mentioned in my earlier comment. The B&W one was superb, which I failed to mentioned earlier. - Deep Regards.

  2. Nice color, light, reflection and composition. Lack of sharpness in the moving human is due to slow shutter. While adjusting ISO and shutter speed for right exposure, the movement of the object should have been taken care of. As such beautiful landscape / waterscape.

    Street

Poverty in the street of a poor country is the subject of this photograph but, exposure and clarity are not good. Background is distracting since it's neither photogenic nor it is diffused. Photographic quality of this picture is not good, only exhibition of proverty do not add photographic value.

It’s a beautiful landscape. At this point of sunset i.e. in low light condition it was difficult to have a good exposure as well as high DOF. Selection of wide angle has helped to have a good DOF up to the foot of the mountain. But the peaks and clouds are not that sharply focused. Anyway, what were the shutter speed & the aperture opening? I feel that, over a tripod if aperture was reduced and the shutter was slowed down appropriately, it was possible to increase the DOF as well as the exposure to some extent. As such it’s a beautiful shot backed by good patience. Regards,

Excellent mood and beautiful photograph with cool reflection and color. Congratulations! Only the horrizon could heve been shifted from the right middle of the photograph for better aesthetics. There was no harm to exclude the very front portion (garbage looking) and pull down the horrizon little below. Otherwise it's fantastic.

Excellent photograph of the decorated portion inside the church. Exposure, sharpness & color all are striking. Great effort has been put (1/40, f/5, ISO 800) to get the right exposure in an otherwise dark environment. But it was not right to include the main source of light (sun lighted window) in such a ccondition inside the photo frame. The lighted window at the top right is distracting. The extra wide angle (10 mm) has also produced some bending effect at the top. These two problems could have been avoided by using a less wide (may be 18 mm or 24 mm) lens and there by excluding the lighted window from the photo frame, if reqired by a little re-composing. -  Congratulations & Regards.
