Lots of people playing in the fountain this evening. Had to stretch
the ISO a bit to get the shot, but I think it works.

Waiting for a late bus...shot through glass but a fun composition.

Playing with DOF on the bus home...thought this was an
interesting combination.

think.

I don't mind being rated low, but if you are inclined to bother with a 1/1 rating, then please give some constructive suggestions regarding what you think needs fixing (or avoiding next time).
Thank you.
BTW, Thanks Twyla, it was a really lovely evening, wish we could have sat in that sun-room. It was closed for a private party.

This guy loves the camera but won't stand still. Managed to get a few
decent frames though. Glad I didn't try with the 4x5.

I took several from this vantage, selecting different focus, waiting
for people to move, or not move, etc. I think this was the strongest
of the bunch.

I love the tension of the open yellow space to the criss/crossing stripes of the chairs.
It strangely forms a diagonal that keeps me motivated to look at the details. Much more than if the wall were busier.
The only thing I found distracting was the white section of wall on the left, but there isn't an easy solution (since cropping it out eliminates too much other good stuff. So, without moving the chairs and gumball machines 1 ft to the left, great photo!
(bonus) The color saturation and eveness of the tone makes the designer in me giddy. Nice work. 6/6

Strong directional composition, great color. The mass on the left looms a little bit more than I would normally like in a light morning/sunset scene, but it seems to work here.
Did I already say great color? It has tremendous subtlety(sp?), nicely done.

An alley I stumbled upon wandering around downtown Chicago. Tough to
get the light right. I'll probably wander back that way and shoot it
again in B&W.

Wouldn't want to meet this guy in a dark alley...or a bright alley for that matter.

He is also a photographer and was kind enough to be patient while I
fiddled. I'm not sure LF is the way to go for portraits, but I think
this one came out alright.
