I would for sure recomend a Leica 50mm - other brands might be just as good (or even better) - but for a first 50mm the only choice IMHO is a Leica.
Then any in Leica 50mm decent condition will do! Like some suggested a Summicron will be an excellent choice. The newer the better but any will do.

You could also start with a Konica Hexar wit the fixed 35f2,0 (exelent lens) they can be
obtained quite cheap.
If you are from Denmark and can come to Nordsjaelland I would be happy to lend you Hexar,
I might even have a M6TTL with a Rigid 50 you can try a week or so.
(btw. they are not on sale)

I'm a totally newbe in LF (if 4x5" qualify as LF?)
I got a ToKo wood camera with a Schneider 150mmAPO Symmar, and 5 double film cassets And need
advise on wich film to get - I would prefere a film that I can develop in a tray, and one that is a little
forgiving..
Any adwise?

If you look at the shutercurtan, you will see a black/whvite pattern, this is where the
exposure is read at shutter speeds shorter than 1/60 sec.
-
-
What apperture/shutterspeed are you using? - have you tested the focus?
The M8 can make very sharp images, bur anre not very forgiving on focus issues
-
No I do not have a IR filter for the Heliar yet, the shots are pretty straight out of the camera
