I used a Hoya solar filter (16.5 stops, I believe) for the partial eclipse images and no filter for totality.

First of all, a very nice piece of art, Dieter. The bicyclist is the perfect element, and I like that he/she is silhouetted against the hills in the background. A split second later, and the bicyclists head would have moved forward to a point where it is level with the background hills, and it would not have been as good. I like the symmetry of the trees, offset by the asymmetry of the position of the clouds on the left, the sun and the bicyclist. I'm not sure if I like the larger version more. The tighter version is a bit more intimate, and the texture of the trees comes out better. The only thing I would change is to photoshop out what looks like a small jet contrail on the upper right.

A very difficult bird to photograph. This one is beautiful. Nice reflection and eye detail.

I think this works well in B&W and does not require the upper parts of the tonal range, as Jake suggested. The lines of the photo are stark enough, that if you made the cars bright white, it would be too much. This is a nice abstract - you've used a common scene and worked it to your advantage.

I keep on coming back and enjoying this photograph. Sepia was a great choice. The photo has excellent depth to it, and the clouds were well captured.

Perfectly done. I like how the smoke trails partially leave the frame and re-enter it. They kind of frame the photo.

I really like this one. Great color and composition.

Excellent composition and light.

... perfect being.

The second one for me. The beads create a nice frame that guides your eye. I love this shot. Such nice lighting and mood.

Thanks, Andrew. I had her work on her pose until the shadow looked good. I'm looking forward to taking more dance photos of her. Best regards.

What I really like about your post-processing is the mid-tones. The fabric towards the bottom of the frame blends gradually into the surroundings. It reminds me of a pencil drawing. Everything works nicely together with this photo.

The lighting and her facial expression are so perfect here. I think it's one of your best.

The bokeh really addds to the image. I love how the green background highlights the bird's right wing. Very nice work.

Interesting perspective. Seeing that it's in a garage reminds me of my grandfather's old Packard in his garage. I like the colors here.

It seems Great Blues are difficult to photograph because of their dark coloration. Your shot stands out because of the excellent red background. The rings in the water and reflection of blue sky in that area help balance the photo nicely. It's one of the best Great Blue photos I've seen. Nice work.

Excellent use of symmetry. All the proportions work well. Nicely seen.

Maybe what I really meant is that I'd like to see the turbine stand out more. I must admit that in my shot of turbine + moon (http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=6258345), I have no light on the turbine at all.

Yeah, that's a pretty spooky backdrop. I get it now. IMHO the motion is not a big deal, and the lighting is great. I'd agree it's a keeper.
I've taken to shooting ballet during posed moments, but perhaps I should think about allowing some motion.
