This is the gem of the day. A little overworked in PS, IMO, around the edges. The colors of the folliage have such an appeal that I don't think you need to burn around the edges so much. I like the wavy horizontal line of the top of the foliage, set against the straight line of the shoreline. Nicely done.

Maria was referencing Cecil DeMille, the director, right? I think it was Cecil. This squirrel has such a perfect face. I like the lighting - very soft, and the out of focus tail is just perfect. It's funny how wild animals will seem to pose for you like this.

Outstanding lighting, rich tones. I like the diagonal going down to the right, too. Nicely done.

I really like the colors and tones in this one, and for some reason the bokeh appeals to me, too. It seems to set off the handlebar and snow nicely.

Two things I especially like about this photo: the rich mid-tones, and the shadows from the mountains. It has an Ansel Adams feel to it. Are those windmills in the distance?

Reminds me of Eliot Porter. I love the texture. best regards.

The composition and lighting are tremendous, but I agree with others - it is obvious she doesn't really play the violin, and you can see that it's not a real musical score. I like the wistful beauty of this model. If only you could find a real violinist who has this kind of visual appeal. Get her to play something melancholy while you photograph her! Best regards.

Ha! I wonder what they're thinking.

Wonderful light, strong composition, great subject matter. I'm really enjoying your portfolio today.

Outstanding in every way. The light poles add nice depth, the bicycle to the kissing couple a strong diagonal, and of course an excellent story.

Wow, Jana. So incredibly appealing. There's something about these colors - appealing not just visually, but on some kind of gut level. I could put this one on my wall and look at it every day.

An appealing and original shot of an oft-photographed icon. Nice work.

Excellent graphic lines, and a good choice of sepia for this photo. I would have preferred to have the spire on the building a little separated from the lamp, but I like it anyway. best regards.

The light color of the clouds behind the seagull looks a little artificial. Was this naturally present, or is it post-processing. If it's the latter, I would recommend you lighten a larger area.

Very hard to photograph ferns. This one's exceptionally good. I like the tonal range.

Definitely keep the bird. If it was a little dot, not discernable as a bird, then you'd want to clone it out. It looks like it's maybe a swallow. Great afterburner photo, BTW.

The light area at the top nicely balances the planes. Outstanding.
