I like the processing and light quality.

The mask of the face has great texture and quality.

 

One suggest that I think would make this image stronger is to recrop it. 1) In a way that doesn't have an eye perfect centered in the frame. More what space may add to the effect. 2) The diagonal dark area at top right is distracting. It looks like a photo-corner that is cutting through the image. Perhaps show more of her hair or crop in tighter to eliminate it altogether and focus only on the face.

i love the composition and expression. the lighting is flat but pleasing with good separation.

the only thing i'm not too sure of is that little accent light on her cheek and nose...makes it look unfinished.

I love the light on her face and the composition, but I really don't like how distracting the background is. I think it does a huge disservice to the image.

I think even with a shallower depth of field the diagonals would still be too overwhelming.

i can't believe this has an originality average of 5....it's one of the most creative i've in months....great image

one of a kind. very simple and effective lighting. one of those images I wish I'd thought of.

wow, very impressed with the creativity on here tonight. everything works for me here. I would hang this on my wall.

i feel like the hand is cropped just slightly too tight. loved the implied lines and content. there is something to be said about subtlety.

i love the texture. a little dark-yet playful. could easily be the poster for a movie.

in this case I think the prop (parasal) is too distracting what with her not interacting. the compete for attention.

either one by itself would have been a pleasing photograph as well.

the only photo I've loved today. just a great moment. well done!

hell yes. all kinds of stock potential with this one. love the grain/noise.

good leading lines, rule of thirds and all that jazz. looks like the surface of mars. I can almost feel the texture.

the blue cup(?) kills it for me.

awesome texture. I'm not a big fan of the vertical line right in the middle of image. but the detail in this is outrageous. even down the surface of the nail head! I do really enjoy it.

great sense of humor in this image. love the "carrier edge" and tones.

technially-I'm sure people will rip it apart.I again, however, love the moodiness and colors. Only that red dress would have worked. Very much like the other image I commented on. Details and nuances like these are all too often overlooked.

hmmm...I've rated probably 50 images this morning and this is the most memorable for me. I think it's great use of availale light. Very intriguing story behind it. I want to know what everyone is looking at! Very much like a Nadav Kandar fashion shot. Lovely.

the cropping is a little uncomfortable for me. right at the mouth and elbow pretty much breaks all the "rules". notetheless, printed with a little more contrast and I love it. thanks, robbie

I would say well done. I love a sense of humor. Great crop and nice print quality.
