i really like the effect and the lighting.

it's cropped a little tight on the guy on the far left and his expression doesn't really fit the rest of the band

 

i might edit out the green leave son the far right and for me it would make it a stronger band portrait

small venue with simple lighting so just trying to capture some of the

atmosphere of the music

it's a good pose by the singer but to me it's taken from the wrong angle, too much monitor in the bottom of the shot, can't see enough of his face. i'd also adjust the white balance to separate his t-shirt from the background and i really don't like the huge logo in the top of the shot

 

a stunning 15x10 print of this now hangs just outside the door of my photo editing office. it shows how poorly the web shows off great images however. up on my wall it looks really sharp and crisp. looking at it closer, i can see the tiny cracks that were on the original old negative but it gives a really special character to the print.

not a great facial expression captured. it needs to be straightened in my opinion too and the image quality is very noisy and suffering from camera shake

 

I'd have given one of my arms to photograph these two! love the expressions you caught here. any more good cash photos from this gig as I'd love to buy a print

a really great shot, if it were mine i'd tweak the white balance and clone out the distracting light elements in the bottom right of the shot

i've not seen a typical band portrait from you before but I really like this one. It's so hard to get anything original from a rock band but you captured great expressions, great composition, beautiful tones and lighting.

love it. i'd like a bit more highlights around the dark end of the guitar but otherwise almost perfect for a really original concert shot

colour version is best for me but i do like both

any comments, good bad etc?

great lighting, compositions, expression, love the mic lead. it's missing something magic but still really good work. any more rock in the pipeline for you?
