what a calming shot. This makes me realize how much i love the world and the perfect peace of the morning (even when i don't want to get up). This makes me smile and sigh. Thanks.

i had to say something because doesn't it look like a BB is lodged in his ear? I can't stop staring at it! It's a shame that blade of grass was in the way, but what are you gonna do? I might warm it up a bit in photoshop, but otherwise, cute critter (BB or not)!

Here is the picture now in color. This is a scan from a 4x5 Fuji Astia chrome.
Tell me which you like better, this, or the black & white? I really like the light
on his face, but the light seems to get very cold towards his hands (an 81C
would have done the trick). Any and all comments are always appreciated!

nope. no flash at all..no reflectors.

i think you meant light meter, and if you did, i used incident. Got a correct exposure reading for the darkest part of my body and then underexposed it by 3 stops. I'm also in front of a canvas that had direct sunlight shining through.

"S#%T!"
is what i just said outloud. This is insane. I have a thing for every aspect of this photo. Wood, symmetry, windows....this is just amazing. High praises!!

None of you raters are telling me why you are giving this a low aesthetics rating. I would like to know why. If you feel moved enough to rate, why don't you spare a few words. We are all here to learn, correct?
