View of the Palouse River, just above Palouse Falls in eastern
Washington State.

My girlfriend requested that I make a poster sized print for her, so
I worked over this photo, printed it out at 24 x 36 inches and
framed it. It came out extremely nice! Amazing what one can do with
6mp. The image here just doesn't do it justice. Thanks for your
comments or ratings - Cecil

Yes, it's another duck shot. Seen from about the perspective of a
duck's eye, I believe. The lighting and exposure was so close on
this one there was very little for me to play with. Thanks for
viewing - Cecil

Just another bird standing on one leg in the snow photo...

I agree with Tom, this image is annoyingly wide even for my 20 inch monitor.

I was walking to work last week when I saw this heron strolling along
the edge of the local creek, looking for fish to eat. I stood quietly
in the shadows and he didn't notice me for a bit. He suddenly cocked
his head as though he heard something in the brush, and in a flash he
had this mouse. He flipped the mouse around, dipped it into the creek
to wash it off, and then swallowed it whole... And I didn't even know
heron's ate mice...

Thomas, the apparent difference in color between the wire and the barb is strictly due to the lighting - the sun is shining on top of the wire, and the camera is facing the shadow side of the barb. Thanks - Cecil

A simple railroad spike. I'm starting to assemble a new "Rust, Rails,
and Iron" folder, and this seems like a good candidate. Comments
welcome and thanks for looking - Cecil

I did this in both color and black and white, with a little different
cropping but the same image. No toning this time on the black and
white. Comments welcomed and thanks for looking - Cecil

Good point Stephen, I was thinking in relative terms to the major highway that is a short distance to the right of this photo, but that of course isn't visible in the photo...

My escape route from town on a winter Saturday morning. 13 miles of
this and then a big downhill drop, out of the fog and into a totally
different climate where it's 10 degrees warmer and no snow...
Comments welcome as always. - Cecil

This swingset appeared to be smiling at me, so I took it's

Yesterday sunshine and warmer, today the snow and fog returned.
