Here is the Panasonic Lumix database.
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Panasonic/
Personally, I used the FZ-30. It's a bit noisy but the images are razor sharp thanks to that incredible Leica lens.

They haven't reviewed any of the Lumix cameras on this site. Try http://www.dpreview.com for information. They have information on all the cameras you mentioned and in depth reviews including sample images on many of them including the FZ-30 and FZ-50.

I want one! LOL!

Those look like actual fibers from the Q-tip. I can't tell you whether it can be cleaned by you or whether you need to send it back to the manufacturer for a professional cleaning but personally I think you should send it back to the manufacturer and let them clean it.

Quote: I've got a replacement card from Adorama that looks exactly the same as the first card received from Adorama. Moreover, it has the same serial number!
What did Sandisk have to say about the fact that two cards have the same serial number?
-
If you have someone on Ebay selling fakes it would be very time consuming and expensive for a company like Sandisk to track down the culprits. But when you have an internationally recognized store like Adorama selling fakes, this in my opinion is a perfect opportunity for Sandisk to track the culprits and find out who is supplying these cards. Let's see how Adorama and more importantly, how Sandisk handles this, I for one am very interested in seeing the results.
-
The other problem is that Sandisk cards are made in China, same as where the fakes are made. I'll bet the fakes and the real cards are even made in the same factory...LOL!
-
As you read through the tutorials, yes, they mention that now the fakes are coming up with changing serial numbers that appear to be authentic. I guess the only way to be sure you're not buying a fake Sandisk card is to buy it direct from the manufacturer.

Ebay has a tutorial on how to spot the fake CF Cards here:

Can you post the images of the sandisk card here so all of us can see them?

Looks like the Leica Digilux 3.

Possible one of the digital Leicas.

I believe it's pronounced "boke", like broke, without the "R". The "H" is silent.

Question: Which Rollei did you use?
-
Are you using a shielded cable when you transfer the images from the card/camera to your computer or printer? If you can preview the images in your camera, are you seeing the streaks in the preview image?
I don't know why but it looks like radio signal or some other type of electro-magnetic interference to me. I see a pattern. If you have a wireless telephone near your computer or if you keep your cellphone near your computer, get them away from your computer.

I have a friend who seems to think it might be an old fingerprint that's etched itself into the lens. Depending on the degree of etching, you might be able to get the lens polished if you think it's worth it. My friend seems to think it's not that deep and that polishing and recoating the lens is a viable option depending on the amount of $$$$ you are willing to spend.
That's my friend's opinion anyway.

It's fungus. Probably ate it's way into the surface of the glass by now.

Photo.net is pretty much overrun with advertising. Some of it I'm sure contains files or DLL's that will try to run in your browser. Higher security browsers, such as Firefox, will complain about them. I know that Norton Antivirus goes nuts every so often when I come to photo.net because certain advertising just triggers it.

Why give your daughter a toy for a camera? When I was about her age I was taught on an old Zeiss Ikon.
Buy her a real digital camera like a Pentax or a Sony, they make them small for her hands, with rugged bodies that many times are even weatherproof. It's your budget that should determine which camera you buy.

A 16th "note" ;)
-
Can you post an example?
-
I hate to say this, but it's got to go completely, gone. The RPS was "iffy" about advertising at the top of the page and they let that sly, but now abusive popups are appearing right on the page, even blocking portions of it? Augh! They gotta go, please.
