  1. I finally managed to get the "policy" canceled and my money refunded. I've asked them several times for a certificate of insurance and they just don't respond. When I asked them for a copy of the policy, no response either. My suspicions were very high with them.

I found a company that will insure a photographer for one day or however many days you need and you pay accordingly. They will give you a certificate of insurance immediately and you get a copy of the policy automatically. They cover everything EXCEPT your equipment. Frankly, I'm not worried about my equipment, I'm worried about falling over a coffee table and breaking the table and having to pay for it. This new company fits the bill.

  2. I left Brown and Brown after a couple of years. They did honor a theft claim when I had one, but other than that there was no customer service at all. As for the specific certificates of insurance, they are actually correct that the generic one will suffice. Unfortunately, not every venue knows that and they will fight you on it. You will have to explain to the venue that the certificate is an umbrella certificate that covers you at all locations where you shoot.

I found a less expensive policy through my PPA membership, so if you're a member of PPA it's worth looking into. The underwriting company is Lockton Affinity, LLC and I pay just under $300 per year for my general liability policy

Thanks for the update. I'm not a member of PPA, but I've considered it.

  3. Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania LP is the insurance carrier. They take your money and issue a generic certificate of insurance. If you ask for a copy of the policy, they won't send it and if you ask them for specific certificates of insurance, they won't send that either. I have a photo shoot at the end of this month and I've asked TWICE for a specific certificate of insurance and I get no response from them. Maybe someone from the photo.net community can wake them up? You get less than what you pay for.
  4. I think it's system wide. Mine are gone and I've not had any of the issues with images and galleries that others have had to date. Guess it's my turn... Mike

Thank you for letting us know! It doesn't answer the questions or solve the initial problem, but then again....maybe it will....hopefully soon.

  5. Mine are all gone as well. I hope there is a very quick explanation from management that this was a programming glitch and will soon be corrected. Anyone else have the same problem?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh dear.....LOLOL!! I just changed my password, just in case. I hope you're right.

  6. I understand about the right-mouse click issue however, if I'm LOGGED INTO my account and if I can already ADD images and DELETE images, why can't I download my own images? I think there's more going on here than meets the eye. I would like an answer from someone running this site.
  7. Glenn- We need to have some way to download or admin our images then. I have an entire directory of archived images I might not have other copies of. Couldn't we get some FTP or download capability to go along with upload capability too. My images have in effect become the property of Photo Net as I cannot pull them down any longer. Please have the web devs get us an admin tool for this purpose which is only permissible on our own accounts. Doesn't seem like a lot to ask.

I agree, I too would like to be able to download my full-size images back to my hard drive so I have a copy of it. Anyone know how?
