  1. Nice Canon IID2 that seems to be working in all respects. The RF is bright and accurate, VF is clear, shutter speeds sound accurate. It has the take-up spool. The Industar lens looks haze and fungus free. I haven't used this in a while but it was nice little camera. I think it's a IIFD2 but given the fantastic array of Canon RF from this period, differing only in minor details, makes it;s confusing to pin down which model it is. I've represented the camera to the best of my ability. If you buy it and think I'm wrong I'll gladly take it back - minus shipping charges._D753288.thumb.JPG.ea7d7f98d207d8c135eee562458be39c.JPG _D753289.thumb.JPG.332fc4edd6b5f99339d872274e451f84.JPG _D753291.thumb.JPG.ef49b104ea154af34e6b5ecfe7f63431.JPG
  2. Is it possible to get pictures of F2A - Serial # 80xxxxx in mostly excellent minus cosmetic condition. Unfortunately, the prism release button on the back of the camera doesn't depress, so you can't remove the prism. Viewfinder is very dirty. Meter is about 1-1/3rd stops off. Asking $50.

If too much trouble I'll just take it sight unseen

  3. Thom Hogan in the "The Nikon Field Guide" states there are 12 improvements and any body after 2350000 have all 12 improvements. Most of the improvements are substantial.

The F4 was an ugly, ungainly beast that does everything with every Nikon lens ever made that no model before or after can do.

  4. I'm looking for a D200.

Cosmetic condition isn't overly important, but operational condition is.

I don't need batteries or a charger, but will certainly buy them if you're dying to get rid of them.

I'm looking for something a little different on the Fuji.

I'd like the nicest I can find, and will NOT consider one unless at least one battery and charger is included.

    Ben,

I have a nice D200 setting on the shelf if you're still looking for one. Also 2 nice Nikkor zooms. Drop me a line if you're still looking beemermark hotmail com

  5. Great glass, no cleaning marks, fungus, haze or other bad stuff. Small dent in filter ring, repaired but the lens can only mount one ver y narrow filter without vignetting - you cannot use a polarizer or hood. Fantastic rectangular lens, I think about the widest full frame possible. I bought it new back in the 80's(?) or whenever it came out.
  6. My first M4, bought in sometime in the ''70's had the serial number of 1175007, the sixth one made. it was my "spy" camera -:).

Anyway I used it alot and sold it in the '80's to buy another one. It was well maintained, worked great, but was definitely a beater. I sometimes wonder who has it now. I never considered it collectible. There were no real changes in the M4 production (unlike the M3 and M2) since it was perfect from the get-go. A Leica has to be either really rare, or semi rare and mint, to be collectible.

  7. I've been trying hard to sell my M6 classic for $1100 with no takers, lots of lookers but everyone wants a

bargain under $1000. It's not mint but it's no beater either. So I'm not sure what's going on. I have a 3rd

version Summicron on eBay right now, ending in about an hour and the high bid is $405. Not even many lookers. I

think things are beginning to crash. I'm luke warm about selling ( I just have too many bodies and lenses) so

I'll probably just hang on to them.

  8. I'd go with the M2. Over the decades (almost since they came out) I've seen more CL cameras with major meter problems than any other camera I can think of. I have a Minolta CLE and it's a fantastic camera, very reliable. If you were to go with the compact I'd recommend the CLE, but otherwise go with any M and you won't be disappointed.
  9. I've tried digital and just don't like it. Have autofocus and HATE it. I use all my AF cameras in manual. I think I'm quicker and faster than AF even taking pictures of sports or small children. I use RF and film 80% of the time. I love the M4 for when I want to use my own judgment for exposure, my M7 for street photographer when I don't have time to be screwing around with picking the right exposure - and I love my CLE all the time.
