503 CX with winder = no; 503 CXI with winder = yes; get the 503 CW, or the 503 CXI. The 553 ELX is a tripod camera. Not a good wedding camera, for weddings go no batteries, ---- happens.

The main difference between the metz 60 & 45 series is the power source, not the power. The 45 uses AA batteries, the 60 uses a dryfit, which recycles very fast, and lasts very long. The 45 with aa batteries is of very limited, casual use.

NPH @ 250 goes toghether like a wink & a smile.

The Pentax 645 45 is a very good lens, Pentax optics are right up there with any other, Have you shot chromes to test with ?

The GX is a collectors item, and the price reflects that. The absolute truth is that it is no better at producing images than a good
$ 600 late 2.8 F.

As always, Konelius cut to the quick; take his advice to the bank.

The 120 is a small cannon itself, the 150 is very handholdable.
-
No difference, at all. The 501 c is a better body than the 500CM.

Technically speaking, this is defined as anal behavior, very common to the homo sapiens male, encouraged and promoted by camera manufacturers. There is an antitodote but few are willing to accept it, as they prefer the disease to the cure.

AH yes, pentax usa repair dept. proceeding as normal. They have a written two times minimum policy to do things correct.

First choice will always be a 2.8 F Planar, second chice 2.8 F Xenotar, after that a 2.8 E anything.

I use a metz 60 CT4 with an RZ, no light meter needed. Just set the film speed & f stop on the back of the flash, set the F stop & shutter speed on the lens, shoot away. As far as camera settings, 1/60
@ 5.6 or 8.0 should cover a lot.

I switched from hasselblad to Rz because bellows focusing works for me, same reason I like the Rollei TLR. Difference in sharpness, not at all, Go with what best fits your style & wallet. Advantage of RB would be the polaroid back, may come down to whether you prefer square or rectangle.

The 100 CF is much easier to focus, they redigned the focus barrel; the CFI is even better.

Go for the PD2 prism, better eyepice angle; if you wait you can pick one up on ebay for about $ 450.
-
Go for the pentax 645, manual focus. Great value, excellent camera & lenses, TTL flash available, better image result than leica due to larger negative size. Acts & feels like a 35mm, produces MF images.

Had my 645 body repaired by Pentax USA and they did a terrible job;
anone know of a good repair source for this camera ?

I pay 1.10 per ea. 5x5 machine print; they do give a somewhat better
feeling for what a print would look like; I also get a contact sheet
so i can file it away with the negatives, w/o the contact sheet i
have a difficult time visualizing the negs later, as the 5x5 's are invariably lost.

Erwin Puts has benn very good @ answering my "which lens " emails, he
directed me to the 90 2.8 over the 2.0. Give him a try.
