A reason he might need to store some individually is that some negative scanners, such as the Imacon Flexsomething yada, have negative holders that preclude using whole strips. Very annoying!

Hi, I'd like to help photo.net out, especially in item #6. I've done lots of AOLServer/TCL programming, data modeling, and page flow with the ACS before. I worked for Arsdigita two summers ago. I'm motivated greatly by the construction of web sites that let people do things easier. I can probably contribute about 5 hours/week, probably more after school gets out in two weeks. I'm very familiar with ACS 3.x TCL code, conventions, etc. Thanks!
USM advantage for sports?

Hi
I am going to start shooting some local sporting events as a hobby(i.e. I'm on a
budget), mainly soccer & boxing. I have a Rebel XTI and recently purchased
Canon's 135mm "Soft Focus" lens, since with the focal length multiplier it
should come out to 200mm and it was the cheapest/longest lens that got high
quality reviews. However, for soccer it seems that USM could be a big
advantage, is this the case?
The other lens I was considering was the 85mm USM lens that seems to be getting
glowing reviews. For lenses designed for DSLR's, such as this one, do I still
have to apply the focal length conversion ?
Thanks,
Neal
