Fantastic shot. Well taken. I do find the posts bottom left slightly distracting. Maybe a crop or clone would help. If this is part 4, I need to see more.

Everything is crisp and spot on. Great shot.Took a quick trip through your portfolio, was impressed.

These "Ladies" had the family laughing for nearly half an hour.A nice
fun shot to play with. Still brings a smile for me.Hope it entertains
you.

Fantastic shot.I'm dabbling with this idea myself. I keep a lookout for the right shots to try this with. Saved as an inspirational shot.Fantastic work.

A posing pigeon for the bird spotters to critique.

Now this I do like. Wish it were my own. One thing troubles me.The stone mid right. Have you tried it with this " blob" cloned out ? The simplicity appeals.Best of the bunch.Could you maybe try again with the colour version and go through several stages, leading up to the high contrast.I think you may find other images to post.

Part of a new portfolio using B/W arty farty work.Your comments are
most welcome.

I love the moody sky.Nice shot. Not two dark at all for my taste.

This is part of a study of patterns in brickwork. More in my
portfolio. My first foray into B/W arty farty photos.

I love the originality of the shot. Been through nearly all your portfolio and returned to this one. Focus is a slight problem for me. Will try on my Laptop later. I can see that you had problems will people milling about. B/W certainly seems to be your preference. I think I ought to try more.

My youngster had had problems with his shadow all morning. I caught
him training it.

WTF. Stopped me in my tracks.I see so many other ways to go with this subject. Well done.

Great work.Followed a link from your comment on Michael Raddatz's recent padlock shot.So much of your work creates mood and I feeling.
Your bio quotes, " I typically get a window of inspriation and shoot like a madman until it closes". I truly hope that the window stays open a little longer.Maybe a trip into the sunlight away from your dark place will help.
I wish you well, and will look forward to future work.

How many of us could honestly say that we would have stopped to take this shot.Maybe I would have tried to frame the distant bridge between the centre of the padlock.Anyway its your shot and its inspirational. This is the reason that I return to photo.net.Well done.

If I had to wait 30 years as a photographer to take a shot like that, I would'nt be disapointed.
Fantastic.So moody.Perfection.
-
The subject is so " boring " that it would be easy for a less talented photographer to miss it completly.Your treatment adds that touch that we all try for.
Well Done..

I have taken a wander through your gallery and saved my favourites in a folder I call " Insprational". Picked this image as I like the simplicity of the concept.
The whole mass of your work is a joy to spend time with.I have similar tastes in subject but sadly little in the way of talent.
