The little guy had a cold...red cheeks and snotty nose. Cropped from

full bodied shot on a playground slide. Cheers! Clive

"I could almost begin to like Canada geese, after viewing this image." Funny Malcolm. I understand what you mean. These are wild country geese although they spend daytime in a park/marsh across the road..they STAY there and don't come over and defile my yard!

In many parts they are simply "rats with feathers." I think that's what you meant. :)

  1. David: I like dog images..they are most difficult. This is almost a great shot. That dark lump behind the right eye is simply too distracting and some light on the left eye which is in shade would have made this a rather classic image. Best wishes, Clive

Hi Jenny! Great shot of the two kids. As noted, sweet expressions. There are some technical "flaws," but, most importantly, you have capture the essence of the children. Very good. Cheers! Clive

PS: I have been blessed to have traveled to China eleven times. I love the people and the kids are so sweet. I go to the "north" and in some villages I suspect I am one of the few "white" people the children have seen. I am rather a novelty! It is much fun for me.

Thanks to all for your warm comments and ratings. Makes me happy. Thank you.

Yes, Chris I feel my decision to purchase the Konica Minolta 7D was wise. It has excellent features not available on the other mainstream DSLRs. :) Clive

I am really looking for some feedback

    a) on the lighting on the couple--it was a tough situation, and

    b) on the tree surrounding...I already softened the saturation on

    the left tree truck...more?

    c) on the overall lighting. Is it too faked? I like the effect, but

am concerned about the overall light effects.

    Comments on lighting welcome.

    Thanks,

    Clive
