Thanks for all the kind comments. I went into this area thinking that the light might be too harsh and contrasty. Little did I know that it would play into my favor!

I shot this with a Nikkor 12-24mm DX lens @24mm, 3 sec's, f13 with a polarizer. Not much ps adjustments except your normal wb adjustments, sharpening and selective color with s&h adjustments along with saturation and brightness/contrast.

Mike,
This is nature isn't it? I heard talk about going in and getting a bunch of chain saws and getting rid of the log. Now wouldn't that be awful? I think the clone tool would be a better option. I think your outlook is a bit radical.

Robert,
This is absolutly fantastic. I love it. It makes me proud of my fellow Oregonian.
Cheers!

I am a huge Mariner and Ichiro fan. This was a shot between second and short as I recall. It gives me goose bumps. Excellent.

I disagree that it isn't original anymore. Does that mean that any adjustment in PS makes it graphic art? Does it mean shooting with a fisheye or a telephoto lens makes it unoriginal?
-
This is a original photo. I did transform it a bit in photoshop but it it is natural.
