Taken from bluffs at Pt. Reyes just before a foggy sunset. Is this
photo too minimalist? Thanks for your comments and ratings. - Tad

Nice composition with the framing above and the distant waterfalls coming down "between" the trees. It looks a little tilted to the right and on my monitor and the near white water looks a little over exposed. You might be able to fix both of those in photoshop.

I took this photo this past summer while backpacking. There are too
many details in the original to see on a 800x600 jpeg. Comments are
most appreciated.

Great photo. Sorry about your Nikon. At least you still have your Pentax ME. I loved mine but it broke. :-(

Dave,
Thanks for your comments. This photo was not too difficult to compose with the rangefinder because I wasn't trying to capture a near/far relationship. Another photo (http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2557157)
of mine was more difficult to get the framing right and took a little guess-work. Usually, I don't develop the print until several weeks after I take the photo, so I forget what I wanted to get in the frame and what I didn't. I often crop because I think it just looks better cropped. I'm not good enough to "pre-visualize" how I'll want to crop when I take the photo.

I guess not. Ouch.

I messed up the P.S. levels on previous attempt. I hope I got them
better this time, and I cropped this version differently also. Please
let me know if this helped. Thanks. - Tad

Another flower photo. This time with a fence. I hope you like it. What
could I do better next time? Thanks - Tad

I really like the combination of colors. Excellent photo.

I like the dramatic sky. I think it could be made a little more dramatic with more contrast. I also noticed a few distracting spots in the clouds that you might want to remove with the clone tool in Photoshop, if you have it. Nice photo.

The composition is very well balanced. Great tonality too.

Chris,
Thanks for your comments. None of the above. This was a straight shot. I had to boost the constrast a bit relative to the negative. The wet darkroom print shows the even more detail but I was able to do more precise burning around the sun in Photoshop than I have yet in the darkroom.
