Nice composition with the framing above and the distant waterfalls coming down "between" the trees. It looks a little tilted to the right and on my monitor and the near white water looks a little over exposed. You might be able to fix both of those in photoshop.

  1. Dave,

Thanks for your comments. This photo was not too difficult to compose with the rangefinder because I wasn't trying to capture a near/far relationship. Another photo (http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2557157)

of mine was more difficult to get the framing right and took a little guess-work. Usually, I don't develop the print until several weeks after I take the photo, so I forget what I wanted to get in the frame and what I didn't. I often crop because I think it just looks better cropped. I'm not good enough to "pre-visualize" how I'll want to crop when I take the photo.

  2. I like the dramatic sky. I think it could be made a little more dramatic with more contrast. I also noticed a few distracting spots in the clouds that you might want to remove with the clone tool in Photoshop, if you have it. Nice photo.
  3. Chris,

Thanks for your comments. None of the above. This was a straight shot. I had to boost the constrast a bit relative to the negative. The wet darkroom print shows the even more detail but I was able to do more precise burning around the sun in Photoshop than I have yet in the darkroom.
