It is a nice shot. Possibly the water is over done. It's a common mistake but it is not too over done in this case.

I think it is difficult to take photos in direct sunlight as you often get distracting shadows. The shadows in this picture are not distracting.

The only question you should really ask is, "Do I like it myself?"
