I didn't know a Konica S2 weighed 8 pounds! They are real heavy on their weights which added to overcharges on shipping. I buy elsewhere now after they ignored my feedback.

Sweet Gene! I hope it is worth $100k

Charcoal for the odor after the cleaner.

As said, leave the battery out for a time then retry. Also, try a different lens, it could be a lens malfunction, good luck.

Once again your photos make the camera speak Gene, well done.

Sanford, I feel your pain. I have a D70s that does closest focus, I wish my D300 had the same feature. Have you tried the different configurations for using the different focus settings?

Time passes too quickly when raising children, capturing the moments is priceless, well done.

Nice job Gene! The couple sitting by the river seem like shutterbugs of the day.

I find View NX easier and faster to do a batch NEE to JPG conversion. I do not know if it does it faster, but speed is not a factor in that aspect for it, it converts fast enough Robin. View NX is free, Picassa is another program to learn, Photomechanic also cost more $$. I am streamlining my software to keeping with Nikon for now. I do use CS2, but after I use Nikon software if needed.

Joe. I agree about the Capture NX/NX2 and View forum.

Mass nef to jpg version. Simple and easy to use.

Turn the lens, much faster.

I dropped my F3HP in water this past summer. I dried it immediately with a hair dryer to the point it was hot to touch. It did not survive. The lens, a 24mm AF, hair dryer it and it works fine. The F3 is a paperweight. I would do the insurance thing, send it into Nikon and hopefully they say, "not economical to repair" The reason why my F3 took a bath was because it was too risky to use my D300 at that location, I gladly sacrificed the F3 for the D300.

Could be you didn't allow enough time for the flash to recycle or you are not in line for the camera flash to activate
the Sb800.

Joe, Kenscameras in California told me his tech could fix anything but I am sure economics come into play.

Are you rough on your cameras? Unless they cover pretty much unconditional damage the odds are in their favor. From what I have seen here photograpers have had good service from Nikon. It would be interesting to hear from those that do have a protection plan, and if they have had to use it. How much is the plan?

I have the D300 myself and have shot some with my 135mm 2.8, I will have to take it on a road trip soon.
-
Those were shot with the D200 Matt?
-
My version has the built in lens hood. Yours Matt?

Tahcion you are correct, start moving files around and you will have duplicate file names, which is why I would like file names that start or have the date included.
-
I would like the file numbers to start with the date.
