Solid images....less words :)
-
you'll loose the shot play'in with the toilet and waist money to boot. Forget about it......I'd rather use 3200 iso and leave the flash at home.
-
here's my take....if you have an image on a card. Is it the best shot you have? Is the image a reflection of your style? I just don't think it is a great idea because for me I make an assumption that it is your best work. Your proud of it and sharing it with your potential/future client. Based on this card layout, font and image I really don't think that your work is that weak. It has a "home made" appearance....but hey that's my opinion and I'm not putting food on your table. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Conrad nailed it. If your work is as good or better charge for it. If you charge more then your competition and your work is not strong you'll be flipp'in burgers.

and that there Steven is the great thing about Photography. What is good in my eye is seen as something totally different in another photographers eye. There is no right or wrong way. Your work is judged by the client and as long as the phone keeps ring'in your doing a good job :)

I hate flash!!! but when needed I'll use the 580 otherwise natural light and reflectors.

When brides enter my office the first thing that they see is that Uncle Bobs office doesn't have a pin sharp 40x60 stretched canvass on the wall nor does Uncle Bob have 27 years experience. I'll let Uncle Bob second shoot with me though :)

I started with Sigma lenses years ago and had no problems. Regardless of the camera or lens ...keep them sharp...take tons of photos and go for it. I have seen expensive lenses take crappy shots and I have seen cheap lenses take great shots. It comes down to you as the photographer and your confidence in shooting. As you progress and become better so will your equipment and images. All the best

I personally would try many combinations. Start with Bride and Groom in the middle then the extra girl beside the groom and the rest of the guys on the outside. Other then that i am sure many pro websites have examples. Happy surfing!

She rocks!!!!try mixing a duotone with the original. There are many ways to achieve this effect but not something that can be typed out as a recipe.Especially if you hate typing :)

If you are a weak shooter it's a problem...if you are strong it's not.

Any feedback on the photographs?
suuuuure......for the small sampling that you have included they are fine. For my own personal taste they all need a contrast boost and color correction. The poses are good. The shot of the bride and the baby in the window would have been so much stronger by eliminating the lower half of the frame and shooting tighter to the heads.Perhaps a little bounce light back with a reflector to pop the eyes but overall they are acceptable clean images. My 2 cents :)

"No pictures and no clutter designs"
I'm with everything Jammey said :)

You need to have someone proof read the text and clean up the grammar errors.I would get rid of the counter on the landing page. It screams amature. The landing page image of the clouds I would also replace. Surely you have an image that is stronger. The wedding gallery requires a greater selection not only of the couples but of details, expressions etc. Such a beautiful area!! Show it off. For me it basically shows me the couples you have photographed, but after viewing them i do not get a true sense of your style. My 2 cents.

Ok....so let me get it right. Over 1 hour long? and ProShow dosn't work. Thank god if thats the case....you may save a friendship.

My recomendation would be ProShow Gold by photodex. It will allow you to make exe shows as well as putting that show to dvd. Many other features to numerous to mention. Here is a show put together using ProShow

Proshow Gold is absolutely unusable software. Who do not agree - please run it, add 1000-1500 photos (5 mpix for example) and... come back here after 2-3-4 days depending on your PC... Insane perfomance :)
I use MemoriesOnTv which is far better and faster. Also you can use external MPEG2 encoder with it.
You must be kidding? Who are you trying to kill with a 1500 image slideshow? At approx. 4 seconds per slide minimum(thats a 2 second view with a 2 second transition)your show would be 1 hour long! YAWN...

f I do not find an answer, I will have to move to Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 or to Adobe Premiere. And of course will make as bad publicity as I can about this so popular slideshow software. I cannot believe that this software is only designed for slideshows in TVS (low resolution) but offers no solution for slideshow in computer monitor and proyector.
Thank you very much, Manuel.
Manuel,
It's time to move forward with Photodex and not backwards with the other programs you have mentioned. Why is ProShow so popular? Because it works and works great. I am not sure what you are doing wrong? You are sizing similar to what I am doing and I can see hairs sticking out of the brides arm it's so sharp. Perhaps it is your computer.Good luck.

There is only one program and that would be ProShow Gold
Here is a slideshow using the latest version. You decide if you have seen anything better in regards to performance slideshow software.

You bet it's worth it. Just to be able to change the background colour to match your photo is worth the extra to me. Many more user features like the light box. Not to mention being able to colourize your keyline boarders.
Here is the latest slideshow I have created fully in version 2.5
You make the decision!

I have used both in actual wedding ceremonys before purchasing the 20d.
I have enlarged group shots to 20x24 pin sharp. The cost difference alone was a great contributing factor. The fact that the camera was not waterproof was not an issue. I have yet to photograph a bride and groom in the rain. Use the extra money saved to buy a great lens.
Too old to start?

Hey Doug,
if you plan on laying the flowers around the bottom of the dress....then yes your to old. If you plan on the bride holding them, shooting from a low angle and letting in some flair then your good to go! Go for it....your customers will dictate whether you continue or not......I'm 47 but feel 19 :)
