Cricket at Underriver

Hi Taken on a Saturday afternoon walk at the end of April. I spent a few minutes chatting to a fielder who was in considerable discomfort having pulled a muscle bowling his first over and now couldn't run. However he was determined to see the match through and have some well-earned 'anaesthetic' at the local pub. Wonderul stuff!

  10.
Thanks everybody for your interest and the useful information.
Brett - I hadn't really considered the benefits of a polariser but your photos have convinced me to give it a try. The yellow bi-plane shot is great.

Thanks again

  12. Everyone Thanks very much for all of the advice and links - much appreciated. A bit of reading required this week! If I get any half decent pictures I'll put them up Thanks again Chris
  13. Thanks for the advice guys -.100-400 it is then! Dick - you have some great photos there. Something for me to aim at! Thanks again Chris
  14. Hi I'm going to an air show next weekend (Biggin Hill in Kent) and have not really photographed planes before. As I'm cycling there (to avoid traffic) I'm going to take my 70D plus just 2 lenses - the 17-55mm and either the 70-200mm or the 100- 400mm. I'm inclined to take the 70-200 as I think the 100-400 may be a bit too "long" Any thoughts? Plus any other tips? Many thanks Chris

  20. The orange and blue work very well together. I think it might benefit from a crop to lose the 2 windows on the right? I find them a bit distracting. regards Chris
