I recently searched every second hand dealer I knew of for a k-mount

wide-angle lens. What I found was a Exakta Varioplan 18-28mm. I

can't find anything on the net about it and was wondering if anyone

had used one before. Is it a good lens?

In just under 6 weeks i'll be flying first to Egypt, then to Italy

(Venice... Rome... Florence...), then to France ( Paris... ) then to

Austria, then finally Germany. I have a Pentax K1000, with a 50mm

Prime and 35-200mm zoom. What other equipment and film do you

suggest? I'd like to take some long exposures in venice and plenty

of architecture. Thanks!

For some time now i have become very interested in B&W street

photography and photojournalism. I love the style of these shots and

have noticed that the majority of good shots are made with a Leica.

Is there any significance to this?

I feel that these photographers that are moaning about low ratings are expecting to receive constant praise! How can they post their photo's ( with the intention of having them judged ) and moan every time a bad rating is given? That is sad...

I do however think that maybe the rating system should be changed such that when a rating of 3 or less is given, a comment on why the rating was given should be compulsory.

I have recently discovered the wonderful art of photography and have

gained much knowlage from Photo.net (Thanx alot!!!) I do however

have a question on how people get to see my photos. They are only

able to see them if they search for my portfolio (highly unlikely)

or if the pics have a high rating or high number of views. I need

all the comments and criticism i can get but that hasn't happened.
