I disagree with Greg. Inclusion of the ramp makes the picture ordinary. As is, this is an extra-ordinary picture. Like someone said before, looks a mile high. That is what makes it so good.

Critique please

Did I over do the saturation?

I agree, but it takes on a grainy look when I mess with it for some reason.

I like it. Some may criticize the framing, but in my eye it ads a dynamic touch that works well with the subject.

Any comments appreciated.

Good action shot! Mark, my big problem with my sports shots is also lack of separtion. As you know I have been playing with artifically creating shallow depth of field, however, I would have thought with a 2.8 lense you could get a much shallower DOF. What is the limiting factor in this shot? Is it that your distance from the subject was greater than the distance to the background, or did you chose a smaller f stop to improve sharpness?

Interesting idea. Well executed.

I like the way the curve of the horizon plays against the foreground curve. Without the horizion curve the picuture is kinda plain. With it it catches my eye.

What a great graduation photo. Are the people in the background friends/family or other grads?
Almost looks like an advert for a tv mini-series.
Well done.

I was going to comment that it looked like something was wrong on the left side. The sky a bit different color than the right - It is very difficult to tel where the real building ends and the painting begins. Interesting

At first appears pleasing and simple like a Rothco print, but on further viewing, intersting details add to the staying power.

Looks like a beautiful setting, but I don't think the diffusion effect helps any
