  1. My god,

I was just thinking about the phrase "A Picture Tells a Thousand Words" and, this photo here is a fine example of that rule. Without looking at the caption or anything I knew that the guy was a mobster of sorts and that this was meant to look like it was from earlier than the 50's. In fact, I thought it was a scanned slide from back then, but the quality was a bit too high, and the fact that you used a DSLR :P I don't recall there being DSLR's back then.

Anyways, I love the photo, The ONE thing that I think should be improved is that the lady behind the man should be a bit more visible. But other than that, this is incredible. 7/7

  2. I think it'd be much better without the negative colors and if you rotated it so the house lines up with verticalness.

To do this, in Photoshop use the Measure tool (click and hold on eyedropper), draw a line on an area that you want to be straight. Then go Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary and ta da, fixed. Sorry if you knew that already.

Whoah, this photo really looks good to me. I normally get bored of a shot taken in the middle of the day (not many shadows) but this one really looks great. It reminds me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it, either way, beaufiful shot.

When I first saw the thumb of this in the Top Photos section, I was stunned. At full size this image is just incredible. The saturation, the exposure, the composition, it's all so perfect. I'm amazed at the quality of this photo. Excellent Shot.

Nice Rodeo, But I'd suggest getting a more creative angle and having the skier against the cloudy sky so you can see him better. Also, the photo has a very noticeable magenta cast to it, maybe color balance in photoshop or using a UV Haze filter could help.

I don't really see too much in this photo, there's no artistic angle, interesting lighting or anything like that, it's basically like you pointed and shot. Maybe try something a little creative next time.

Nice photo, but it lacks a scene. It's a bird, a good photo aesthetics wise but it lacks originality, like... it's a bird... there's not story to it. I have a problem with this too when it comes to wildlife (see my crap seagull pics) but with this shot, a lower angle to include some of the scene would add a lot.

Awesome shot. The exposure is very nice and so are the facial expressions. Did you use a flash or were you just using a nice fast lens? Either way it looks great, keep up the good work!

Looks awesome, the detail in her face and her hair is incredible, it looks so soft and the tone you chose is great. Did you completely change the colors in Photoshop or did you have your lighting set up to get this effect?

I like it. The tone, the texture, and the business of the image looks great. The right side is a bit underexposed but it adds to the image providing more of the scene. Excellent Shot. 7/7

The reflections off of the water are beautiful. The lights on the bridge came out pretty good too but there are too many lights in the background that make the image a bit busy.

Maybe shooting from a different angle would get rid of some of the distraction? But like I said before, the colors reflecting off the water are beautiful.
