jimmy_susanto 0 Posted January 2, 2004 A picture I took of a Charlie Chaplin Statue in the middle of leicester square... thought the lights from the rotating carousel in the background make an interesting composition. Link to comment
jennifercatron 9 Posted January 2, 2004 Well you've made the image yours by adding the carousel, but you might want to crop off that top that seems to just sit there. Great job at trying to make this statue yours though. Link to comment
jeff_fiore 0 Posted January 2, 2004 I agree with Jennifer, The piece of sky on top detracts from the "fantasy" feel of the photo. I also recommend that when cropping, remove some off the right side also. That would put Charlie off center and make the imagery more appealing. Link to comment
steve_simons 0 Posted January 3, 2004 Great idea and great shot, my only suggestiong is to crop the top part of the pic where the branches are. Removing that will completely change the mood of the shot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 3, 2004 I gotta go with the crop advice. As I scrolled down the large size image, I noticed that the picture seemed to improve when you get to the point where the top row of yellow oblong lights is above his derby. Try cropping it there. I really like the way the carousel lights are blurred just enough so that you can still tell what they are. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted January 4, 2004 Agreed. Cropping the top is better. Reminds me of good old Charlie when I was last there at Leicester Square 5 years ago. Link to comment
