Itasca? Incredible image ... textbook composition, evocation of mood. I'd be proud to have this hanging on a wall.

Always instructive to look in on your portfolio. This is superb ... as many others have pointed out. Great photography of children here ... some of the best on Photo.net.
-
This is beautifully captured ... there are many technical, let alone creative challenges,in this kind of setting.

Ice crystals in the air, at zero degrees F.

Great shot, from an angle one doesn't see very often. The people give an impression of the scale of the lighthouse.

Looks best in larger version

Temporary (?) landmark. Thank you for clicking on the thumbnail.

Bravo. Well seen and well captured. It's this kind of photography that keeps most of us doing it (and spending money!).

Looks best at large setting.

Definitely looks better in the larger version (seems a tad over sharpened to my eye in the smaller version). Great documentary feel to this one. I assume you didn't supply the for sale sign!

Looks best in larger setting. These birds are magnificent flyers,
here tacking into high winds over North Dakota.

Very amusing. I take pictures like this way more often than I should.

Early May, before the crowds arrive.
-
In 1900, prospective settlers -- many of them newly arrived
immigants -- were conveyed by horse and buggy to this building in an
otherwise vacant part of North Dakota. Here they were rushed into
buying land from the vast acreage granted the Northern Pacific
Railroad by the Federal Government. Today, most of their descendents,
and the railroad tracks, are long gone.

Sophisticated lighting and evocaton of mood, as always.
