Hexar isnt really that small, its about same size like real m6.
So about as big as Contax G2 and others. Its not that pleasure
to use manually, because shutter speed is set with buttons
and so is focus if you need to preset it. What happened
to the focus ring, even electronical one on the lens
would have been easier to use.

Its a very interesting camera indeed, i just dont like the
focal lenght, i would have preferred something more
general purpose like 35mm or 40mm equivalent.
Then add a tilt swivel screen and ohh it would be nice.
-
Take what you use and like most, or 50mm and feel the
ghost of HCB wandering on paris streets ;)

I like watching other peoples photographs more than
taking them myself, i hate testing stuff, and hate
when something doesnt work, or film delelopment looks like crap.
I wish i didnt have to do it myself. Everything i touch just breaks
down.

Yes its a problem to me also when there is snow and sun shining.
Its quite hard to see the leds, fresh battery helps a little, makes them brighter, but not much, i really dont like the M led meter much.
I would like it to have a scale like my eos has so it would be much easier to see the amount of compensation too.

Isnt this b&w IR film? Kodak actually has/had a colour slide IR film, i think thats more M8 ;)
-
I have used the older G6 little bit, i liked alot about the
swinging lcd panel, it was very nice for shooting covertly:)
i hear they dropped this feature. The thing that annoyed me
most was the huge lag of the camera compared to the lightning
fast m shutter.
-
It shoulndt be very stiff, but i have noticed when i shoot in
good cold weather (-5 to -18c) it is slighlty so. But this year we havent had a real winter in finland yet, the weather almost like in middle europe now ;)
But lenses do get little bit harder to focus, the grease gets stiffer,
in summer they are like silk.
-
Whats even more strange, they put a picture of a camera on the page, yes m3 is beautiful but hardly its an interesting image :)
-
Which photograhpers were included in the best of year pics?
Maybe i should go check myself and buy the paper ;)
-
Moving subject, low light, wouldnt the 35mm be more suitable in those conditions? Mamiya has a 80mm 1,9 lens for their 645 system, i believe rollei also has a 80mm xenotar that is 2,0. I am sure there are others too.

Is that from 30D or D30?
5D is a nice camera but its just huge with the fast glass (like 35 1,4)
Then again, i will propably buy it and continue the street stuff with the m6+35 1,4.

Theres a dng to download, it looks pretty sharp to me.

I was hoping it would do badly , so i wouldnt want one so bad.
I guess i have to settle for 400D :(
When i got the money for one that is.
-
Which P&S that would be? I now dont need to wait for the Sigma ;)

How many euros this new Sonnar will cost?
-
I was wondering if its possible to mod a m6 classic to a 0,58 finder?
I would like to have a 0,58 with the old style shutter dial :)
-
But where are the wideangles.
-
the ultron is a large aperture lens so compromises must be made.
The Zeiss should be easily better in many ways but slower.

I get little clouds or "amebas" in xtol when it sits 2-4weeks.
This happens everetime when i make a new batch, and the water is filtered or distilled, it doesnt matter. I keep all the bottles extremely clean and rinse them alot after i have used one bottle (200ml glass bottles) of xtol. Still there, i am puzzled. But it works ok.

I like the 35lux asph, bokeh and contrast are fine to me.
Colours are beautiful too, not that i have shot more than 2 rolls
of colour film with my leica.
I just got a 50mm summicron, propably sharper lens but in low light
slightly wide angle lens can be very handy especially indoors.
-
I would like it the M5 way, even tho i use m6 classic my self.
-
I have dropped mine two times, and each time i traced back my steps to the city i found it. It must cost great deal for a cap (35lux asph) and i doubt if i even could find one spare one in my country at all.
-
You should try all of them yourself, 35mm and 50mm are the most common focal lengths on leicas by statistics i think.
The best lightweight rangefinder?
