This works well. Model's expression really does it.

Composition and artistic elements are flawless.
-
I love the composition, but it would have worked better for me if everything was in focus (I know that would be difficult)

Hidden colours brought out by cranking up the saturation selectively.
Taken in the alley way behind Future Bakery on Bloor for those of you
in Toronto.
-
Compostion and tonality capture the mood very well.

Done mostly in Picture Window Pro. Some high contrast and
postarization effects. If want to know more about the Afro Celts and
the instrument in the photo (a kora), go to www.afrocelts.org.
It was a handheld shot with a 300mm f5.6 lens. I'm surpised it wasn't
a mass of blur.

Shot on a dull day with Ilford SFX 200.

I was jostled about when I sanpped this one. I ended up liking the
angle and the boy on the curb. Manipulated almost to death in
Photoshop and Picture Window Pro. Suggestions and comments welcome.

Scanned from a Delta 400 negative. Comments and Constructive critcism
welcomed. I'm attracted to oblique angeles - what can I say.

There is nothing I can critcize about this. You've picked a wonderful setting. Composition is excellent. I see this as Adam before the creation of Eve.

The tail sticking out of its head takes away from a very original photograph for me. I think you could play with this one and come with a dozen interesting images

I agree with Joachim and Bora.

Get rid of the tree on the left. It ruins an otherwixe very good picture with good tonality, compositon and mood.
-
A tree like this defintely screams 'Take my picture'. Tonality conveys the mood for an overcast day well. You might have considered photographing from a different angle to lift it above the horizon a little more. I find the upper right foreground branches distracting. Keep at it.
