Yes, I know - it's partly why I used Eudora for my email :)

Wow, I wish I could go - not only is she a favorite writer of mine, but since I first saw her photographs I have been an admirer of her images. I have a few reprints of her photo books, they are wonderful. I have "Eudora Welty: Photographs" and "Country Churchyards." My favorite, which I don't have, is "One, Time, One Place." When I look at Walker Evans' or Dorothea Lange's portraits, I experience an observer and a subject; when I look at Welty's, I get a sense of someone communicating with and participating in the world of the subject of the photograph. They may not be as technically perfect but I appreciate them more, I think.
And if you love short stories, I especially recommend the stories "A Worn Path" and "Why I Live at The PO," and the collections "A Curtain of Green," "The Bride of the Innisfallen and Other Stories," and "The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty." My favorite longer work of hers is the novella "The Robber Bridegroom."

Simon, while I think plagiarism usually refers to language; isn't it more commonly "appropriation" in art?

Love my A-1. It's a tank. Had one problem a few years ago once with the electronic metering system dying, got that fixed (Grimes at EP Levines in Boston) - it's my all time favorite, esp. with my FD 50mm f/1.4. Have fun!!

Also - back in 2006 someone on Pnet had a PDF version - see the last message.

I have a question: several digital printing companies in my area advertise "archival quality" giclée printing. Does this mean archival, or like archival? (I understand the "giclée" part.) I need to print one copy each of three small (smaller than 8 1/2 by 11 inches) color images with archival ink on lightweight (regular text copy paper weight) archival paper, to be incorporated into a book conservation project. One company I called that advertised this way then told me the materials were not actually archival.
Just curious as to how to find the real deal.

I think most photographs have more affirmation than negation. Just my perspective as curious viewer.
