Mark, I take your remarks into account as they are very interesting, thanks a lot for that.. The foreground actually IS white, this is part of a salt lake, though no part was blown out, the contrasts were high.

Tolar Grande is a small village in the heart of the argentine Puna, it lies

about 3600 mtrs above sealevel and 40-50 people live there. The nearest

village is some 100km away,and can be reached on often bad roads without

any pavement. The landscapes there ... undescibable! This view is from the

village.
