    if you have the opportunity to go into a store, put the various wide-angle lenses on your camera and see which has the field of view you would like to work with, which handles the way you want it.     Have a friend who used to use a battery dependent RZ67. His solution was to wrap some chemical hand warmers to the bottom of his camera. Just make sure they are wrapped and in contact themselves with the body.

    <p>Andrew, I think that Kent has some good advice although I think that you could combine the Grand Canyon and Utah into one - you just wouldn't be able to get intimately involved in any place. It would be drive-through but at least you could see the highlights. ps. for me, your destinations would be a 3 month drive.</p>

    <p>given current technology and your proposed subject material, I would be going with the D500. Reach and auto focusing capability. From what I have seen, I do not believe there to be a massive difference in ISO capability. Cropped 810 is slightly less, down-sized 810 is better.</p>

Its been a few years since I shot any and I am unfamiliar with what is available these days and maybe more importantly, where it might be available from. I am looking for perhaps one film speed, good for all-round shooting under most circumstances - basically something as forgiving as possible. Any recommendations?</p>
